March Madness :D

Whew, I never thought I could be so involved in the UP politics, probably not involved really, but attached to it. Today is the election day. I wish all the candidates the best of luck. Tama na ang siraan.

Earlier, our Physics results were out. I got an 11/50. In the class, only four passed! I only got 22%. We then discussed the answers for the exam.

Surprisingly, our very very mabaet at magandang teacher na si Mam Romero gave us a surprise 40-point problem set earlier, which she will add in our percentage score. What a nice teacher. :D

Anyways, it won't suffice a passing score, but I'd rather get a 40-50+% than a 22% score, right!! Right. Haha.

So yea, I have eight more exams to cover the whole month, and have five days vacation in Olongapo. :D Whew.

I took my exam on ES 1 last Saturday, I think I delivered well. I would probably pass that exam. On the sad note, I flunked my second exam on ES 1, and got 38.75%.

I am soooo dam nervous. I hope I would be able to catch up at the Finals.

I'm Out of Blogger Google. Say hello to DaKopiPalace!

I am now bidding goodbye to this blog.

All memories and thoughts here are carried over to my new one:

I just can't figure out how Blogger Google works so, I'd be fine with that Blogger BETA.

I abandoned this blog with its 28th post. I'm out and hopefully you'll come to my blog

Perfect

Today, I want to just emphasize this blog post with this word.
Perfect.

Primarily because, no one's perfect but a lot of people aims to be one. And I am one of those people. Too bad, I can never be. Or is it just that as for myself, I am indeed perfect. Its just what other people think of you, that brands you as 'imperfect'

Suddenly, I recall my ever bitter life. This life which I'm okay at being blessed at, is not really what other people think as 'perfect' that in even behind back, they allow my shallow and influential preferences attack their identities. Did they feel I personally attack them or did they just let themselves be attacked by their insecurities. Some things I can do they can never be.

Just as this Chemistry 16 Exam, all of us needs to pass. Just to be perfect. Just to be perfect in a way that the world sees us. But how much of these crappy things should we learn, to gain a respectable job or even live this happy life? For all I know, half of this Engineering students will eventually fail. And engross themselves in a part-Dracula part-human life of Call Centers.

Imperfections make life interesting. For if not for it, we won't strive for anything greater. Sometimes, it just feels so right to commit a mistake. Not that I say being erratic would make this world a happy place. It just feels like your normal again.

Whatever happens. We'll live. Just not the way we are projected to be, but the way we chose to be and whatever we do in this life is the decision we had made and the counterparts of what we have done before.

Pasalubong Festival & The Sore Eyes Fever

So, after the uber-haggardic first week. I'm here wasting money just to update things. Ending up losing all the money I have for the week. Hassle kasi. The Pasalubong Festival's done. Buti naman. Haha. Masaya naman 'yun. Kahit maraming nalasing, tapos may bonding kasi per region. We took the time to get to know them better, o di ba senti? Haha.

Of course, I'm from Region 3, and if before I don't have that enough knowledge about my region. Now I think I have learned a lot because of the fest. There are about five hundred people who went in Kalay yesterday, about 4pm. It ended about 9pm with a fireworks display which was taken care by our region. So bongga talaga kami! Samahan pa ng B-O-G-A with an h to positive infinity. haha. BOGAHHH! ahha.

Anyways, the fest was truly heartwarming, also it gave us opportunity to know more about our country. Yet, that festivity won't be successful if not for sleepless nights and the generous people who shared their culture and of course their delicacies to each other.

Here are some points from each region that I went to:

Saudi. The weirdest food! But, their delicacies taste good. The booth was okay. The normal Muslim-Saudi thing is the motif of their booth.
Region IX. The giant vinta! Woohoo! The sardines was so hot! I did not even think its sardines. Napaka-lasa. Its spicy but promise, ansarap!
Region XII. The Davao Region. The best sila sa presentation! Haha. Ang outfit kumakabog. Haha. But of course, masarap ang Durian nila kahit medyo smelly. Hehe. Durian candies and all that stuff. Nag-enjoy din ako sa food nila.
Region VII. The region na parang hindi talaga nakapaghanda although I know that 'sweets' lang kasi talaga yung sa kanila. Masarap naman. Peanut Brittle, mango candy things like that.
Region VIII. Dut. Pastries. More pastries. Another pastry. Plus, suman. Haha. Masarap. Cookies-like things, wala nga lang sila ganong delicacy.
Region I. Sayang, di ko naabutan ang masarap nilang fishes. However, the chichacorn's great talaga. Tapos anganda rin ng presentation. Yung booth nila asteg. Pawid ang lolo. Haha. Tapos ayus din yung ushers/usherettes nila.
Region IV. Masarap yung tenga ng litson. Ayus yung 10 people get-all-you-can in 5 minutes.
Presentation? Don't get me started. Maganda. Pero naiinis lang talaga ako sa kanya.
CAR.
Ayus sila. May pine tree. Tapos napaka-ethnic at native. Thumbs up! :{ May rice wine pa sila.
Region III. Need I say more? Haha. Syempre kami the best! :P From nothing to something. Nakaya namin. Buffet style pa, at pinilahan, grabe nasira yung bakod namin. Haha. Ansaya namin kasi we're satisfied. One hour pa lang ubos na food namin. Remarkable: Tusino and Sisig of Pampanga, Chicharon ng Bulacan at sandamukal na Pastillas. Bataan's tinapa at mangga ng Zambales.
Region V. Haha. Nanalo ako ng gift pack dahil sa sinarapan. Ang sarap ng laing nila. Haha. At Bicol Express. Di ko naabutan yung pusit. Pili nuts are good! Syempre si Jason nagtatatalak. Nangangaway pa. Astig din yung presentation nila. haha.
Region II. The region daw na nagset ng standards. Sa booth. Sa presentation. Pagdating sa food. Nipa wine. That's it.
Region X. Fruits. Fruits. Fruits. Ansaya. Hehe. Ayun, fruits.
Region VI. Kyut nung maskara thing tapos blue and pink ang motif nila. Hehe. Asteg. Basta ayun, masaya din sa kanila.
CARAGA. The Caraga region, sarap ng fishes nila. Sarap nung pusit thingy.
SOCCSKSARGEN. Hehe. I enjoyed a lot sa booth na ito. Kaya pabalik balik kasi sila lang nag-offer ng drink na di nakakalasing. Masarap yung Kilawin at yung Tuna grabe! Hehe.

Syempre ang fireworks display namin ang pangabog.

Done. Food trip in just three hours! Hayy. Sa sobrang tagal na pinaghandaan, ganun lang lumipas. After noon, kanya-kanya nang bonding. Haha. Si Robert nalasing sa amin, pero ayus lang kyut. haha. Star gazing. Kwentuhan. Banig. Lahat na. Ayos talaga ang Pasafest!

Haha. I had such a great time. 3 AM na ako natulog.
----------------

And when I went back sa floor, walo na ang may Sore Eyes.
Ayoko magkaroon. Ang roommate ko meron na.
Sadya bang mahina ang resistance namin at palaging kapag may sakit, agad-agad nagkakahawaan?

Pakshet.

Jailed in the Fortress

Whenever I decide. I regret.
Sorry. Sorry if I the message spelled for you was too much for the relationship we have.
Moreso, I just want the friendship.
Maybe you had thought, that I have given up before. Long before I mean.
But truly, I just gave up lately.
And now that it feels so hard to do it, you are penalizing me for not noticing me.
Thanks if that would really make you happy.
I guess I'll live just this way.
I'll live my life, for sure.

I thought I'd be happy to let go, but more that I think of it, I see myself sad and longing for you.
Truth hurts. I'll just live with it. But if I won't ever fall for anyone again. That's not my fault. That's not even yours. That's what I was meant to so I'll live with it.

For the title, I do feel like I'm jailed in the fortress. Whatever the title means, it just shouts that I still feel for her (not love?) but never mind. I do. So please. I hope I can have peace of mind. Just I hope this thing ends before 2007 starts..

Oops by the way...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Thanks sa lahat! Pt ROCKS!

Mixed Emotions

Today, we had our first batch yuletide party and homecoming... It was fun so I'd like to have some of the thoughts written here.

I started a day with my sister shouting her head out... 'Gising! Gising!' ... Fuck, I was irritated and told her to get out of mah room, so she did. And I stood. Inat muna... Eat some vienna sausage and I took a bath... After all those things... syempre, dressed up, wala lang... ayus naman. Then, it was about nine when I departed from home, went straight to get a trike and zoom it goes, I rode the jeep. Yellow jeep. Only in Gapo.

There, I went to King's. I was the only person there. Walked to the Globe Telecoms, the attendant was not there, I would buy the 40 peso sim card there. haha. tipid... I'm so thrilled cos one by one they're coming. I was so early, in fact the earliest, look how excited I am.

Then, Ian and I went to the Pancit Malabon Order Shop which is by the way near the Victory Liner and Manila Glass Supply. Then, we went off, more people came. David's off and we rode the Light Blue Castillejos/Subic jeep. THE PARTY HAS STARTED!

To Be Continued...

23.12.06

Freaking Missed The Days

Traveled to Gapo. Nice to be back home. Back where you're at. Missed Kalai but you're ready to have some fun during your break.

Well, I am just blessed I have enough TV intake, sleep, and food here. Food, kasi hindi mamantika! Haha. Tama lang naman. TV! TV! TV! at syempre ang sleep ko hanggang alas dose ng tanghali.

May trippings din ang dabarkads.. ang pagbalik sa sk00ol! RS.. at ang kanilang bazaar. IT's bizarre. gagagaag.

Tapos yung Christmas Party ng mga CAT. At syempre Internet galore. Pare, wala akong PC sa haus. haha. at wala pa akong pera, sinira kasi ng ate ko PC eh. syet.

Masaya yun sa beach. Haha. Tapos sa beach ulit sa December 27. Haha. Ansaya. Ang itim ko na mga parekoi. Maitim pa lalo! haha.

Haircut! Shet. The freaking people can't understand that once I made up my mind on what style of hair I prefer, I'll get one. Nah. They're not giving up. They want me to cut the bangs. The hair. Err. ERr... Err...

Anyways, its just a self expression. So why do they care so much? Impression? Even I dont care about how people see me. They have to realize that they have their own lives and they have to freaking care for it first before talking about anyone else. Freaking bastards, those gossip makers can't really complete their life without telling anyone negative to other people. Just idiots. These people are just f*cked up with their lives, they decide to just meddle with others'. Freaks. Jerks.

Uggh. Anyways. I have to go. Just updating. It's the 24th right. Pasko na ng mga Katoliko mamaya. Haha. :P MC!

Happy New Year to all na lang! Kitakits sa mga UP and Kalai Pipz!

The Gifts

So, I went to SM just to buy Dean his blue polo shirt and Jodee for her Blue Magic 'one-sided guy-named stuff' and friendship emblem.

That was fun. Minus the headache, the loss of key, the smelly Manila.

That was some fun...

This should have been posted about ten days before. Haha.

---------------------------------------------

Then, its time to depart from the corridor, the fun and nice corridor. Then, I see ya on January. But first, that virtual presentation gave me headaches. So... That's it..

21.12.06

Ten Days Without a Post

I can't believe I made it ten days without posting, haha. Anyways here are some happenings done between that period of time. It was so busy, so dramatic, so err... and so boring nga lang haha. Sige pagtyagaan na nga yan.

First off, the Talent Night of Mr. and Ms. Sporsfest. Only fifty of the five hundred Kalai Residents were able to watch. F*ck it. That SportsCom. Uggh. A giant UGGH!

Next, the Physics Exam I have told you. I have passed it. 25/40. That's great na no! Kahit na 62.5% iyon at 2.5 ang equivalent. Gotta try harder the next exams.

The freaking Oblation Run. I missed it. No big naman. Haha. I got my 'pass' Physics exam kaya ENJOY. Wala naman kwenta yan.

The freaking Rally thing. Wala lang freaky lang. Haha. Napasa na TOFI> :(

Next, the Yuletide Party, understatement is CULMINATING ACTIVITY NG LAHAT NG COMMITTEE SA KALAI, waah. We ranked fourth dun sa General Cleaning. Haha. In fairness ang sweet namin dun sa naregaluhan namin ung BA, pa roses roses pa. :P

The Tales of the Greek Heroes. :P Si Kemuel nakabunot.

Bakit? Kasi wala na. Wala na sila.

12.12.06

Physics: Oh Physics!

Well I woke up at 5 AM today. Prepared for this Physics long exam. I reviewed until about 2AM last night and I hope that's enough to pass this 40-item mind-boggling test.

Through with that.

Doha Update!

Thanks to Violito Payla, Boxing and Gabica in Cue. We had our two golds in! :)

COngrats Philippines. I knew we'll have our time.

The First Philippine Idol: Mau Marcelo

What can I say? It's Mau's time to shine.
The first Philippine Idol is indeed, Mau Marcelo.
She's my bet from the very start of course aside from Gian and Apple.
I'm so happy she won although nabitin ako kagabi since the Dorm Manager let us watch the Finale, freak guys from the back were noisy and the Dorm Manager told us to silence the TV.
Anyhow, I'm so happy it's Mau!
Go grab that Asian Idol title. :)

The Winning Piece: I Got Goosebumps Here...

9.12.06

Doha Disappointments

Filipino team this year for Doha, a big disappointment. We aimed for at least ten gold medals, but until now, we haven't placed any gold yet. The ugly part is that we only have the 0-3-2 standing. Even bronze medals, we can't get. The Philippine team is sucky and its suckier that you are obliged to support them. What went wrong. I don't know. The only reality I can see is that they're not too prepared for it, and that's why we're losing. At least we had four gold medals at Busan.

The bowling team was such a disappointment. Knowing Olympic people were there. It's a shame they got beaten.

The boxing team has wins, we have sure bronzes but what we need is a gold so let's see.

The taekwando team did the best as far, giving us two silvers and one bronze I think.

Gabica of the 8-balls, did a really good job claiming the silver.

All we can do now is wait, pray for them. Hope they win at least a gold. There are only five more days till the ending ceremony. So, who knows? We can still get golds. We're Filipinos right.

The Philippine Idol Finals

Last night was the Philippine Idol Final Performance Night. And I bet at least in one performance there, if you would've watched, you'll have goosebumps.
Well, tonight we would know who the Filipinos voted as the 1st Philippine Idol which is set to compete for Asian Idol next year.
The Finale night was divided into three categories... The order of performance is: Gian, Jan, Mau.

Performer's Choice
Gian. Impossible Dream. The song was great, arrangements was irresistable. The strong point is the end part. I love it. Good starting song. He proved he can jive with the other contestants. Gian did it from impossible to possible. The first note up to the last are fine. Excellent performance it is.
Jan. Say That You Love Me. I never liked Jan, but with his improvement and the way he did this song, he was at his par. He nailed it. Although his voice is not my type. I think the performance was great. Although the judges seemed to say it was him who won this round, I oppose. He did well, but he's not the best.
Mau. The song choice was not really the best she could come up with. She should have done better if she picked some more challenging song, with climax. She had rough middles and the tones were falling off key. But her 'kulots' and styles put her through. I think she did well. Not just what I expected her to be.

My Ranking:
1. Gian (9.5)
2. Jan (9.4)
3. Mau (9.2)

Judges Ranking:
1. Jan
2. Gian
3. Mau

Judges' Choice
Gian. Volare. The song just captivated me. It was his best song as far in the night. He nailed it. He was in his element. He did a cool job doing what people wants. He's enthusiasm and passion did entice the audience. It was a cool and breezy, effortless performance.
Jan. Sway. The song was too easy for him. Needed sexiness and he got some. So, that's why it somehow worked. He just did not connect with audience that well. For me, Gian did better. He did good.
Mau. Balut. The funny thing is the choice for her is not really meant for a contyest. Maybe as same as the males but she did it pretty well. She just seemed weak. She's not up for competition. The guys did really well and she did just good, just enough. I liked the song, I liked the performance.

My Ranking
1. Gian (9.3)
2. Mau (9.2)
3. Jan (9.0)

Judges Ranking
1. Gian
2. Jan
3. Mau

Record Producers' Choice

Gian. Flying Without Wings.
The arrangement of the song was so not-Westlife. Its classy, world-class. Gian jived in through the song. It was his best song of the night. It feels like he'll win when he sang it. Not enough goosebumps but excellent excellent performace. The best so far. I never expected that he'll do this song, but in the way he did, he absoultely nailed it. Terrific tones and timings on the last lines of chorus. The ending was passionate. Two thumbs up for Gian.

Jan. Evergreen. When I learned it was this song, I asked myself: "Is the Record Producer a Westlife fan?" Nothing new with the performance. For me, he had the voice for the song. Still, the connection killed him. Plus, for me he had some difficulties in a lot of parts of the songs. The high tones were barely met. Jan did outstanding showing a good fight for the night. The overshadowing of the judges kills me. They made it seem like Jan's winning.

*drum rolls*

Mau. On My Own. I'll only start with: "I love Mau!". The song was the best suited for her. The producer' s choice fits her perfectly. Only Mau made my hair rise. She is exemplary. Truly world-class. You think you know who wins, you think Gian did the best, but it's not the end until the fat lady sings. Mau did nail it, she's just perfect, enough to cover her past two almost falling performances. An underdog, a star. Mau is my Philippine Idol. It's too good, that even Gian fans and other Jan fans had a standing ovation for that performance. The judges comment were cut for a segment because of the audience's wild reaction and Mau crying. She was so overwhelmed by the people's reactions. She did really really well. Excellent. Just right. Just making it to Asian Idol.

My Ranking:
1. Mau (10.0)
2. Gian (9.5)
3. Jan (9.2)

Judges Ranking
1. Mau
2. Gian
3. Jan

Mau (28.4)
Gian (28.3)
Jan (27.6)

For me the judges acted that way for the people to feel that Mau is an underdog. Filipinos want underdog winners. If Mau wins, the judges are effective in doing the reverse psychology thing at the same time pushing Mau to be challenged and perform the best she can do. She rocked. Mau is my winner. Gian for me is 2nd; Jan, a lousy third placer.

Knowing Filipinos:
1. Mau, 2. Jan, 3. Gian

The Coke Jeep

I only realized today that I have satisfied my dream. Haha.It maybe shallow but, yes! I have ridden the Coke jeep! Hoorah for me. I only realized it early this morning but I rode in that Toki Coke Jeep yesterday. Adik no? Di alam pinag-gagagawa?

Hehe. Anyways, it seems like the whole bunch of THEM are ganging up on me. I don't know why but I feel some kind of friction when I'm around them. Paranoid.

Last night, it was dawg, 11:30 p.m. and whose taking Berm0n'ts orders? Yup, I was the Berm0nt's bAby boy last night. It arrived 45 minutes later. About 12:15 pm, and we're all starving.

There's this corridor feature in Kalai and I am part of the Virtual Team so I'm so excited to work with this coding and designing stuffs. Bad thing is that the head, wants people with no knowledge do the work, just because they have laptops. Okay, so I'll antagonize again and this guys would surely react... violently. So, I decided that I'd let it flow. :P I'll let it be. Bahala sila diyan...

Freaky... I woke up this morning and knowing that the General Inspection. Defined as girls coming in your rooms, roomraids it, criticize your cleanliness and hygiene. That's it. Voila, complete humiliation. Who cares if my briefs are hung on my closet. Why should the clothes be color coded. Why should things be so arranged and orderly?

What if I'm very much satisfied when things are disorganized, unarranged? What if you loathe cleanliness? What if you can work efficiently if you have this dirty surrounding. I'm only pointing out that each of us has styles. Styles and difference in tastes. If this is what is clean to us, then fine. Don't get me wrong. My room's not that clean, but I'm improving. I like cleanliness but not to that extent that personal things and preferences are interfered. Its not cleanliness, orderliness or what, its Martial Law.

What do you expect in a guy's closet? What do you expect us to be. Of course, if our room's so clean and sparkling. No joke. I would think this guy's a bit of a girl. Not that I have prejudice but it feels really low to have your room's dust get noticed, even in fact you want them to be there. The sweaty smell from your bedsheets that you'll miss. The feeling of comfortability is being sacrificed. That's why we live in rooms, because we want things to be independently done and be what you prefer to do.

We can't be that clean! We're guys and we are more of the action-type gender you know. So, it's possible that things are different here. And that girls' hygiene or eyes should never be the basis of this cleanliness because we're not them, and we shan't be compared to them.

Say NO to Martial Law GI's. Haha. Ang exage ko. Third GI pa lang ng floor namin ito. Yung iba, weekly pa nga :P
